Yet another Salseros social to celebrate the beauty that is Salsa in the Spring time. We’ve only got a few more socials before the year’s over and done, so we’re turning up the music and turning up the style.

Join us this Saturday starting at 10pm on Old Union’s Ballroom as we dance to the best in salsa, bachata, and cha cha cha to the grooves of DJ PhD. Come at 9pm for the lesson.

And as always, the social is free free free.

The weather is warmer, the days are longer, and the salsa is hotter in the early days of Spring.

Come join Los Salseros de Stanford in our first salsa social of the Spring this Saturday, April 2nd, from 9pm until 1am in Stanford’s Korett Pavilion (located behind the Ziff Center at the corner of Campus and Mayfield).

We’ve missed all of you over the last few weeks, so we look forward to seeing you as our very own DJ PhD spins the freshest Latin rhythms this side of the foothills. They’ll mostly salsa, with a respectable dose of bachata, and some cha cha cha and merengue to top it all off.

Lessons from 9pm until 10pm
Dancing from 10pm until 1am.

NOTE: The location is *Korett Pavilion* not the Black Community Services Center.

You ever been sitting, listening to one of your favorite Salsa tunes, and imagined that you were there? (Where? Where ever!). This Saturday, Feb. 19th from 9:30–12:30 (lessons at 8:30), YOU CAN BE.

This Saturday will be a LIVE MUSIC salsa social @ the Old Union Ballroom. We’re teaming up with the Stanford Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble to bring you the freshest, groovist live salsa this side of Palm Drive.

So brush off your dancing shoes, warm up your legs, and bring an extra piece of your most dance-durable clothing, ’cause whenever the music is live, things tend to get hot!

Detailllllls:
– The Stanford Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble will be playing the social!
– Beginner On2 lesson starts half an hour early: 8.30pm-9.30pm
– Social dancing from 9.30pm-12.30am
– Old Union Clubhouse Ballroom
– the DJed sessions between SALJE’s sets shall be ‘Speed Salsa Sessions’ where every song shall be faded out after 2–2.5 minutes of play. This is to maximize partner switching and number of dances.

Come join Los Salseros de Stanford for another salsa social this Saturday Night from 9pm until 12am in Stanford’s Old Union ballroom.

Lessons will be from 9pm until 10pm, and dancing will go until midnight (or so). Our party master has been soliciting your feedback, so we’ll feature a hefty chunk of bachata, and a crowdsourced playlist.

On Friday, 10/22, Sigma Theta Psi (along with Los Salseros) will be hosting Salsa for the Cure — a salsa social for Breast Cancer Awareness. This event happens as a part of Sigma Theta Psi’s Breast Cancer Awareness week. It’s be a great time — so come out to have fun and do good.

As always, there will be a beginner lesson from 9pm-10pm, and social dancing from 10am — 1am.

A donation is requested.

Salseros Auditions are coming Tuesday, Sept. 28th @ 7:30pm, Elliot Program Center.  Are you ready to get sexy!?!

Thank you for your interest in Los Salseros de Stanford, the only student group dedicated entirely to Salsa!

We’re excited about giving you some more information about our group, and seeing what you’ve got, at auditions.  Auditions will take place at Elliot Program Center — beside Lake Lagunita and behind  the Lagunita residence complex — on Tuesday, September 28th.

Sign in for auditions is at 7:30pm.  Auditions should be complete by 9:30pm.

To audition, wear clothing that will be comfortable to dance in.  This includes appropriate pants, and SHOES!  Though Salsa is a partner dance, no partner is necessary.

No previous Salsa experience is necessary, but any previous familiarity with dance may be helpful.

It’s that time again Salseras y Salseros.  The first Los Salseros de Stanford Social of the year is coming up this Saturday, September 25th and it’s going to be hot.

Brush off your shoes and sharpen your moves, because we know you’ve been waiting for this social since our last social in the Spring.
