Royalities
As specified in Section 14, the inventor or co-inventors will share at
least 15% of royalties or other income the laboratory receives.
The balance of the royalties are to be transferred by the agency to the
government-operated laboratory
- to pay expenses incidental to the administration and licensing of
applications
- to reward laboratory employees
- to further scientific exchange among government-operated laboratories
- to fund education and training of employees that will increase the
licensing potential for transfer of technology
| Payments to inventors are over and above their regular
salaries. Payments will continue after the inventor leaves the agency.
Payments in excess of $100,000 require Presidential approval. |
