Balance assessment and accelerometry

How to become a project collaborator

The Rehabilitation R&D Center is making the accelerometric instrument available on loan to other researchers for testing of diverse subject populations. The collaboration arrangement calls for the VA to supply to participants equipment and supporting software on a no-cost loan basis. Participants agree to share data, assist each other with interpretation, and credit the VA in publications.

To be included as a collaborator we need:

A letter of agreement stating that you see a need for motion analysis in your research or clinical practice and a statement that you agree to the terms stated above, and describing:

  • The number and age of subjects you propose to monitor
  • Their disabilities, if any
  • Interventions you plan to institute and compare to controls
  • Intervals at which subjects would be tested.
