Japanese Television
December 10, 2000
NHK, a national Japanese broadcast network, is producing a
television show on US attitudes toward disability, government regulations, and
current Research and Development. The one-hour show will be aired in Japan on
Sunday, December 10, 2000 at 9:00pm. This is coincident with Japan's
"Disability Awareness Day". Please tell everyone you know in Japan to
watch. Hopefully our work will be interesting and of value to viewers. By the
way, the projects that they picked to showcase were the ProVAR Assistive Robot
Project, the MIME Upper-limb Stroke Therapy Project, the Lower-Limb
Neuromuscular Control/Stroke (TiltCycle) Project, and the Differential Pressure
Walking Assist Project.
