George  Foster is the Wattis Professor of Management  at the  Graduate School of  Business , Stanford University. He is the co-author of The Business of Sports (2006)  and other books and articles in the sports management , entrepreneurship , finance, and accounting areas. He has  directed  multiple programs for  the National Football League and the National Basketball Players Association . Foster  interacts extensively  with  executives from sporting bodies, both in the USA and other countries. He recently led the World Economic Forum project on Global
Entrepreneurship and the  Successful Growth Strategies of Early-Stage Companies (2011).  His Stanford teaching includes   Sports Business Management, Sports investment and Financing , Sports Marketing, and Entrepreneurship . He is the  author   of  over   40 cases in the sports management area.   Foster’s research interests includes entrepreneurship in the sporting industry and opportunities/challenges with asset  building strategies in the sports arena.
