Stanford vs. Sacramento State

On January 24th, 2009, Stanford faced off against Sacramento State in the first away game in Northern California league play. It was a close game, but Stanford lost the physical confrontation 32-24. Scoring for Stanford were hooker Chris Riklin, prop Jason Prestinario, center Marcus Henderson, and wing Nick Mendoza. Number eight Johnny McCormick made two of four conversions. Sac State had 5 tries and drop-goal, converting two of five kicks. Stanford scored the go ahead try with just minutes left on the clock, but Sac State was able to block the conversion to maintain a one point lead. A final try and conversion by Sac State sealed the game.
