Eavan
Boland, Bella Mabury and Eloise Mabury Knapp Professor in
Humanities, has published nine volumes of poetry, including
Against Love Poetry, The Lost Land, In
a Time of Violence, and An Origin Like Water: Collected
Poems 1967-87. She has received the Lannan Award for
Poetry and has published a volume of prose called Object
Lessons: The Life of the Woman and the Poet in Our Time.
She is regarded as one of the outstanding Irish poets of our
time.
