Abstract: The W. M. Keck Observatory is the most powerful and scientifically productive optical/infrared ground-based observatory in the world. This talk will focus on the key enabling technologies and strategies to achieve and maintain scientific competitiveness. The talk will conclude with a look at plans for the next 5-years.
