Abstract: We study a model of the universe with crystal-like structure and lattice spacing of about the Planck length, and in this universe we formulate a generalized uncertainty relation. We then apply our results to micro black hole physics, and derive a modified temperature for Hawking radiation. Our temperature formula predicts both a finite temperature and a zero
mass at the end of the micro black hole evaporation. We also briefly mention a few other connections, in particular with a possible modification of special relativity.
