My primary research interest was in the development and application of numerical methods for the simulation of fluid flows. My focus
was on developing robust computational methods for fluid-structure interaction problems characterized by large structural motions and/or
deformations. Previously, I had worked on the CFD analysis of the aerodynamics of several micro air vehicle (MAV) configurations.
These included unconventional rotary wing configurations such as ducted and cycloidal rotors and MAVs with flapping wings.
I have also extensively worked on improving algorithms pertaining to overset (chimera) meshes.
