Research Statement:
My research focuses on the development of a nonlinear, projection-based, model order reduction approach for computational frameworks
based on embedded (or immersed) boundary methods. The challenging aspects of my research include the treatment of the "ghost" regions
of the computational domain, and the tracking of evolving material interfaces. The main application is a class of highly nonlinear
fluid-structure interaction problems.
