Create or Modify a Custom Period in CMS

This page provides instructions of creating and modifying custom periods to forecast activity beyond the fiscal year period for non-sponsored accounts or beyond the active installment period for sponsored accounts.

Gather the account (PTA) and related information.

  1. Enter ofweb.stanford.edu in the browser
  2. Click Login
  3. As prompted, log in using SUNet ID and password

  1. Click SU CMS USER

  1. Select Accounts tab
  2. Enter account (PTA) search criteria from the Account Balances screen
  3. Select Go – Execute Your Search

Create a New Custom Period
  1. Select Project-Task-Award link to access Accounts Overview screen
  2. Select Add Custom Period
  3. Select the checkbox in the Active column from the Add Custom Period screen
  4. Select a month and year from the Start Date and End Date drop-down lists
  5. Enter Notes (optional)
  6. Click Save
Modify a New Custom Period
  1. Select Project-Task-Award link to access Accounts Overview screen
  2. Click Edit Custom Period
  3. Modify the Start or End Date from the Edit Custom Period screen
  4. Enter Notes (optional)
  5. Click Save
What Happens Next?
  • Use custom periods to generate reports showing activity beyond the fiscal year period for non-sponsored accounts or beyond the active installment period for sponsored accounts.
