There are two different programs called "cscope". One is a Free Software program for examining C code. Another is a proprietary software for Electrical Engineering.
The former might be used for class CS140 and is installed via Ubuntu packages and it's /usr/bin/cscope
The latter is used for class EE114 and is installed by the TAs: /afs/ ir.stanford.edu/class/archive/ee/ee/synopsys.1112/CosmosScope64/I-2013.12/ai_bin/cscope
