From ESWStanford
Hello ESW!
Thank you all for coming to the meeting last night! We had a great turnout, great food, amazing project presentations, and even better conversations afterward. I wanted to let you know that several names and email addresses on the project sign-up sheets were unclear and that the Tanzania sign-up sheet has gone missing. Therefore, if you want to be on a committee, you must email me as soon as possible. The options are as follows:
1) Earthquake Evacuation Project: Designing safe vertical evacuation zones in Padung, Indonesia, an area at extreme risk for earthquakes/tsunamis
2) Ecological Sanitation Project:
Designing an efficient, culturally sensitive ecological sanitation infrastructure at schools in Oaxaca, Mexico
3) Tanzania Education Project:
Bringing water, power, basic equipment, and teachers to a self-sustaining vocational school in Moshi, Tanzania
4) Cultural Nights Committee:
Planning and hosting cultural events to prepare ESW members and others for the Indonesia and Mexico projects
5) Fellowships Committee:
Establishing Stanford's first service-based fellowship in developing countries through partnerships with on-campus organizations and international NGOs
Your names and email addresses have to be submitted from me to the project leaders before the weekend begins, so please email me by tomorrow (Friday) night at 10 PM.
Thank you! and if you have any questions, please let me know.
Sincerely, Yash
