Projects

  1. GHI update: Eric putting together proposal, funding is pushing ahead
  2. SARAR: Eric emailed the folks to try to get in touch with them, but they seem to be slow to return the call
    • we should just think of what we want to do and type that up for the P3 grant
  3. Mondialogo Award & India Renewables Team formation

Discussion: Membership and T-shirts

  1. T shirts should arrive ~Nov12th or sooner
    • we ordered 40 (there are about 20 of us!)
  2. what does it mean to be a member?
    • paying dues? get a T shirt?
    • connect to national chapter? What's the connection?
      • $10 to national org, half should come back
    • are we all supposed to be on there? -maybe
  3. what are their benefits?
    • first dibs on faculty dinners
    • separate email list so they get the heads up first on speakers and workshops
  4. what if we have more general meetings? let people know of other events or ways to get involved?
    • sometimes the same folks come over and over
  5. would we need to have a requirements, pay or show up for the general meetings?
  6. maybe being a member should be helping out with the organization of the stuff

member $10, shirt $12 for members, $15 for non-members

what's the best way to facilitate this?

  • we can send a clarification email (newsletter) with benefits
    • priority, discounts on shirts, one special activity just for members?
    • can attach the form and stuff too
