This is a terrible and immediate tragedy that needs attention

  • the d.school folks are looking for ways to work with IDE to help the people in Myanmar
  • anyone interested should contact Heather, there will be a meeting Thursday

  • Biofuels collaboration with student group (they need experienced folks)
    • they have consent, and intent, reaction in lab
    • they want to build a small plant for processing biodiesel
      • they should contact folks in petroleum engineering - Whit to ping Taku, waiting to hear back

Leadership Transition

Engineering Service Internships - Sarah is super interested in helping to set this up and will take the lead

  • next step is to dream up the perfect and ultimate internship - Sarah is on it
  • after that, talking to Hass Center and stuff
    • Stanford In Government has a great model for how to set this up
    • schedule a meeting with someone?
      • Kelly Beck may be the person to contact? They are super excited about helping groups
