Remus plans to pursue research in synthetic biology with specific goals to design, construct, and engineer new biological functions in cells. By combining engineering ideology with basic principals of biological science, he hopes to build artificial biological systems for applications in engineering and medicine as well as to further understand the nature of living systems. |
