Michalel Levitt is The Robert W. and Vivian K. Cahill Professor in Cancer Research in the School of Medicine and Professor, by courtesy, of Computer Science.
Dr. Levitt's current research focuses on protein
folding, large-scale prediction of structure from
sequence, computational geometry of biological
molecules and genomic analysis. Levitt's work
is geared toward answering such questions as:
what are the fundamental interactions that stabilize
biological macromolecules, how can protein structure
be predicted from sequence and how do protein
sequences evolve.
