Jan Wessells |
Born in 1945 in Henglo (O) The Netherlands, Jan Wessels paints nature and wildlilfe. His interest in wildlife was present from childhood, beginning with collecting, progressing to stuffing specimens, and leading, finally, to painting. After military service he spent the next four and half years travelling through Australia, Tasmania, New Guinea and Asia, and in 1986 he began painting professionally. Inspired by atmosphere, his favorite subject is wildlife in the Dutch landscape, and his favorite season is autumn. |
