Charlene Music

Born and raised in Costa Rica, Charlene Music was captivated by documentary filmmaking and photography at Harvard University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in the field in 2004. She then traveled to India as a fellow for the Mahatma Gandhi Medical Trust, working with the hospital, rural communities, and children to develop video documentaries and media projects on domestic violence prevention. Back in Costa Rica she created and managed the video production departments for Eureka Comunicación and Café Britt, while also directing documentary shorts for the National Children's Hospital and
other NGOs. Her passion lies in the use of documentary as a platform to effect social change through the exploration of human rights and other social concerns.
