We're still trying to figure out exactly what BMUG's philosophy is, and whether there is such a creature. We know this much: it has its roots in The Hacker Ethic and Berkeley Radicalism, as well as in the jaded cries of computer users we represent the world over: "I don't understand!," "It doesn't work!," or "I was ripped off!" The best statement of just a part of our feelings of who we are and what we're trying to do can be phrased as: We're in the business of giving away information. Help us keep this spirit alive and kicking, as long as we can. (15)
