with disabilities and older adults. It consists of semi-weekly classroom
discussions; lectures by notable professionals, clinicians, and
assistive technology users; tours of local medical, clinical, and
engineering facilities; student project presentations and demonstrations; an

Innovation Masters Series Announcement
Stanford's Innovation Masters Series is the Mechanical
Engineering Design Groups flagship professional education program. This
2.5-day event - now in its 8th year - exposes industry and academic
professionals from all over the world to Stanfords design thinking
expertise via hands-on exercises and creative challenges. Program highlights
include touring labs and classrooms to get an insiders look at
Stanfords design thinking pioneers at work, participating in hands-on
workshops and panel discussions, and making lasting connections with peers and
other professionals across the world.
The
program focuses on how to harness the power of design thinking tools to
incorporate innovation into everyday business practices and transform
organizations. Attendees will get close and personal with some of the people
who invented the tools of design thinking and learn to use its innovative
techniques to develop personal and team creativity, achievement habits,
customer empathy, and visual thinking.
