Perspectives is the newsletter of the
Stanford course, Perspectives in Assistive
Technology.
This issue thanks you
for your course participation and invites you to attend upcoming local
events.
Perspectives in Assistive Technology is a Winter
Quarter Stanford course - now completed its eleventh year - that
explores the design, development, and use of assistive technology that benefits
people with disabilities and older adults. It consists of semi-weekly classroom
discussions; lectures by notable professionals, clinicians, and
assistive technology users; tours of local medical, clinical, and
engineering facilities; student project presentations and demonstrations; an
assistive technology faire; and a film screening. |
Thank you for your course
participation! - By all accounts, this year's course was a huge
success. It was another year of excellent presentations, tours, an assistive
technology faire, and a film screening. The student teams' presentations,
project results, final reports, and course evaluations were well executed,
professionally written, and very positive. Thanks to all who contributed:
students, community members, guest presenters, carpool drivers, project
suggestors, and team mentors.
If you
missed a lecture, browse to the Lecture Schedule
webpage, scroll down and click on the lecture of interest. Near the bottom
of the page you will see the Lecture Material section which has links to the
slides, photos, weblinks, and lecture video. |
