Some reflections down the line

Michael Flynn
Stanford Univ.
About the talk:
This talk is a personal retrospective on machines, concepts and advances in computer architecture over the past 30 years. This leads to some speculations on possible developments in both architecture and technology and their likely impact.

About the speaker:

Michael Flynn joined IBM in 1955 and for ten years worked there in computer organization and design including such machines as the IBM 7090 and the System 360 Model 91. Between 1966 and 1974 he was a faculty member of Northwestern and the Johns Hopkins. In 1975 he became Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford, a position that he retires from later this year.
