About the talk:
GPS is moving quickly from an exotic military technology to necessary
technology for a wide range of consumer products. The market requirements
for these products are different than traditional architectures.
SiRF will present its SiRFstarI/LX architecture with its unique
capabilities for high speed search, weak signal tracking, and fast
reacquisition times which will allow this technology to become
indispensable for everyone.
About the speaker:
Greg Turetzky is currently the Product Line Manager for GPS products
at SiRF Technology. He has spent 15 years in the designing product
in the GPS industry with Trimble Navigation, Stanford Telecommunications
and the Applied Physics Lab at Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Turetzky
received his BA in Physcis from Cornell University and a Masters in
Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
