• 6/5 In office hours (and through the helpline) I had been saying that the fireXXX methods are Swing-Thread safe. This is NOT true, it's the addXXXListener and removeXXXListener methods, plus the repaint, revalidate, and invalidate methods. Sorry for the confusion (and don't worry, no one lost any points for this). Here's a link that discusses this issue.
• 5/29 Homework #2 grades were sent out over the weekend. Contact us if you still haven't received an email with your grade.
• 5/17 When submitting, please keep everything in the same directory! It wreaks havok with our grading scripts when things are not there. Keep your graders happy!
• 5/9 - HW1 Criteria has been updated with a "Most Common Mistakes" section. Check it out if you still have any questions.
• 5/9 - There was an error in the criteria involving the steps used to grade the files (ie the steps used to grade were not the steps on the first version of the web page). This has been corrected.
• 5/8 - Homework 1 has been graded. Please see the criteria files listed above. Also, you should be getting your grade by email sometime on Tuesday. Email the helpline if you do not receive it. If you would like a regrade, you must submit it in writing, with a clear explanation of where you see a mistake. Also note that we reserve the right to take off more points if they're found, since it will be a total regrade, so only ask after you've checked out the criteria.
• 5/5 - Homework 2 Part C is now available here. You can find any needed starter files here.
• 4/25 - The submission script is up and running! Check out the file submit-README for details. All necessary files are located in the /usr/class/cs193k directory.
• 4/18 - HW1 stuff is now available -- I included the source for BasicTableModel in case you want to use it. I've also put up the component and listener example code if you want to play with it.
• 4/18 - Office hours start this week. The schedule has been posted here.
