Amaryllis - Hippeastrum

Genus: Hippeastrum
Crazily enough, the flowers typically called
amaryllis in the US are not actually amaryllis.
They are in the genus Hippeastrum.
On the other hand, the flowers typically called
"naked ladies" are in the genus Amaryllis.
Most famously these include
Belladonna.
