Non-Roman Materials
by Brian Kunde
Materials in Slavic,
Finno-Ugric, or Moravic,
To a cataloger
Are an aggravation.

When books are Japanesy,
Or Chinese, it isn’t easy
To transcribe ’em. We are
Left to fulmination.

But we puff up like Patton
When the alphabet is Latin:
Amid others, it’s a
Cause for celebration.

And heart-strings go a-tinglish
For books actually in English —
It’s a happenstance of
General jubilation.
